Subject: Two Messages

Shalom friends,

The New Testament is a very confusing book for most people because they try to justify the apparently conflicting messages in it without understanding that there are two messages to two different groups.

Group 1 is the “Covenant People” (the houses of Judah and Israel).  Rabbi Joshua ben Joseph (aka: Jesus) said, “I have been sent only to the lost sheep of the House of Israel.” [Matthew 15:25]  This is a clear reference to the lost ten tribes of Israel.  The followers of Rabbi Joshua also had a strong influence on Judaism, bringing it back to the “spirit of the law” concepts advocated by Rabbi Hillel and away from the “letter of the law” concepts advocated by Rabbi Shammai.

Group 2 is “ben Noach” (the gentiles).  Rabbi Shaul (Paul) basically taught the gentiles to keep the “Noahide Code” while insisting that Jews remain kosher.

The message to the gentiles in the New Testament is clearly different than the message to Israel in the New Testament.  The two messages are not at all contradictory; but, rather, they are complementary.

We are now in the final days when the exiles of the lost ten tribes (the House of Israel) will have G-d’s Torah written on their hearts.  All who are drawn to Torah observance are undoubtedly of Israel.  Not all are drawn at the same time – some “pioneers” are being drawn now, but the redemption and the time of the New Covenant is yet ahead of us.  The last possible date for the coming of Moshiach and the redemption of Israel is 2030 CE (see “Not Just Another Scenario” by Rabbi Pinchas Winston).

Kol tov,
Shomeir
