Dear Shomeir,
It's been a while since we've been in touch. I see you've changed the address of
your website and e-mail. (I hope you remember me.)
I'm not sure I agree with what you're saying here. I've been seeing that there's
a whole new wave of spiritual awakening. There are a lot of people who are
seeing through the doctrines and leaving their old religions, such as
Christianity. It's happening all over the world. And what is this? I've come to
believe that it's a returning to the first and oldest religion--that of Adam and
Noach, of Melchizedek and Shem and Eber. What was it that they taught in their
yeshiva?--the Oneness of Gd. There have been many in this New Age age who are
claiming to be "the oldest religion". But it's so bogus. People are waking up,
though. I think this is what's going on with the fascination with Kabbalah.
People are so hungry for Truth and depth. Israel was called to be "light unto
the nations', "the priestly nation". What is it that we're supposed to teach? I
believe it's the universal Torah that Adam and Noach understood, that
Melchizedek and Shem taught--those laws that had to exist in order for Hashem to
judge ANYONE and destroy whole societies.
In this vein I'm planning to begin a series of classes on PalTalk in
mid-December to study those laws that apply to all mankind. The first and
foremost thing that all of us have to understand is the Oneness of Hashem and
that there is Torah for all people.
One interesting note: the gematria of Keter (the attribute of Hashem's Will) is
620 -- 613 + 7. It gives us pause for thought. The idea that anyone is left out
or superior to the other, is completely false; we're all included in the WIll of
Hashem.
Chag sameach and shalom,
Miriam
MY COMMENTS:
There is indeed a spiritual awakening happening, but the awakening that is
happening among the lost sheep of the House of Israel is different. A deep love
for Torah is being written in the hearts of these lost sheep and they will not
be diverted by the B’nai Noach movement. I have consistently taught that the
gentiles DO NOT have to keep the Torah, but that the House of Israel is
obligated to keep the Torah and return (t’shuva) to Hashem. Even within the
B’nai Noach movement many end up converting to Judaism because they are not
gentiles. In the past Judaism taught that the Lost Ten Tribes would return at
the end of the third bi-millennium. Many within Judaism are beginning to teach
this again. You are absolutely correct when you say that no one is left out and
no one is superior, but this has nothing to do with the redemption of Israel and
the return of the lost ten tribes. Hashem gave Israel a special responsibility
and burden, not because they were special, but because He made a promise to our
father Avraham (who was, indeed, a remarkable person).
