Shalom friends,

According to Orthodox Rabbi Daniel Lapin, the seven thousand year plan of G-d is laid out in the first sentence of the Bible.  Bereshit (Genesis) 1:1 contains the letter "alef" in six of seven words.  Each letter "alef" represents one thousand years.  The first two alefs each appear at the end of a root word.  This represents a two thousand year period which is called "tohu" (emptiness or chaos).  The next two alefs each appear at the beginning of a word.  This represents a two thousand year period that begins with the call of Abraham which is called "torah" (instruction).  The last pair of alefs each appear in the middle of a word.  This represents a period known as "Yemot Mashiach" (the age of Messiah).  Messiah is to come sometime during this period.  This is followed by a one thousand year Sabbath of peace.

The time of the redemption of Israel is to last for forty years, known as "teshuva" (return) prior to the coming of Mashiach ben David.  According to Orthodox Rabbi Pinchas Winston, the forty years of teshuva began in 1990.  Rabbi Winston, in his book Not Just Another Scenario, makes a startling revelation about the coming of Mashiach (Messiah):  There is a 210 year correction in the Zohar which places the last possible year for the coming of Mashiach at 2030CE.  Is it just a coincidence that this correction would put the beginning of "Yemot Mashiach" in the same year as the crucifixion of Joshua ben Joseph (Jesus)?  Is it just a coincidence that the Sanhedrin (Jewish high court) put a ban on the death penalty in this same year? (http://www.bnai-el-chai.com/death_penalty.htm)

The Christian calendar is off by 30 years and the Jewish calendar is off by 210 years; which accounts for the 240 year discrepancy between the two.

According to the Talmud, there are two messiahs.  The first, Messiah ben Joseph, is to be killed and his death will prepare the way for the redemption of the lost ten tribes of Israel and the reuniting of the two houses (Israel and Judah).  According to Rabbi Moshe Alshich (1508-1593CE ): ‘They shall look unto Me’, for they shall lift up their eyes unto Me in perfect repentance, when they see Him whom they have pierced, that is Messiah, the Son of Joseph: for our Rabbis, of blessed memory, have said that He will take upon Himself all the guilt of Israel, and shall then be slain in the war to make atonement in such manner that it shall be accounted as if Israel had pierced Him, for on account of their sin He has died; and, therefore, in order that it may be reckoned to them as a perfect atonement, they will repent and look to the blessed One, saying that there is none beside Him to forgive those that mourn on account of Him who died for their sin: this is the meaning of ‘They shall look upon Me’.

Also Orthodox Rabbi Abraham Cohen wrote: Mention is once made [in the Talmud] of a rather mysterious figure called Messiah son of Joseph.  The passage reads: 'Messiah son of Joseph was slain, as it is written, "They shall look unto me whom they have pierced; and they shall mourn for him as one mourns for his only son" (Zech. xii. 10)' (Suk. 52a).  [From Everyman's Talmud by Abraham Cohen].  Rashi also comments on Messiah ben Joseph.

The second of the two messiahs is Messiah ben David.  My Jewish friends might consider the following question: "Could it be that Messiah ben Joseph has already come and was slain at the beginning of the Yemot Mashiach and that Messiah ben David will be king over the reunited Kingdom of Israel at the end of the Yemot Mashiach?"  Joshua ben Joseph purposely obscured his message (Matthew 13:13-15) so that it would not be understood until the time of "teshuva" just before the coming of Mashiach ben David.

Concerning the reunion of the two houses (Israel and Judah) I recently received an email from a new friend with the following information that I would like to share:

There is something very interesting in Ezekiel 37. When Hashem tells Ezekiel to hold the sticks in his hand for them to become one, the Hebrew term for one is plural: “echadim”.  Later, when Hashem says HE will take the sticks and they’ll become one in His hand, the term is “echad”, singular.  This isn’t simply grammatical, because in both instances the subject, “hem” (they), is plural.  So it indicates that there is a deeply telling change.  When the Houses first come together in the Land, it isn’t a real union, there are problems with genuine agreement.  But these are corrected when Hashem takes the sticks up and purifies them, making them truly one house.  There’s more to this, too.  The sticks are also the tree of knowledge and the tree of life.  The tree of knowledge insists that a person has the right to think about the issues and choose for himself, to serve G-d out of his will.  The tree of life, however, is the Torah, which draws a person to unquestioning obedience.  These two opposite things have played out in the peoples of Israel.  Once the sticks are joined, these two opposing views will also meld.  For only through Torah can one come to divine wisdom and understanding.

Another important aspect is the esoteric understanding of Yosef and Yehudah.  Yosef, as the sefirah Yesod, is the receptacle of the flow of all the shefa from above.  Yehudah, as the sefirah Malchuth, has nothing on his own.  Yosef has to empower him to rule.  In Egypt Yosef pushed and pushed Yehudah to stand up and BE the king – that was his job.  I think of Mashiach ben Yosef and Mashiach ben David with this.  The prophets indicate that the tribes have to come together in the Land BEFORE Mashiach arrives. Mashiach ben Yosef prepares the world for the physical culmination of the Redemption, for the rule of Mashiach ben David of the tribe of Yehudah. That’s why the two have to come together.

When the two houses come together it will be like mixing oil and water.  The two will only mix when an emulsifier is added to the mix.  The wisdom of Mashiach benDavid will be the emulsifier that finally makes the two into one.

Kol tov,

Shomeir

FEEDBACK from the original emailing of this message:

Dear Shomeir:

When I read 2 Corinthians 3:12-15, I think that "all according Rabbiés are very far from true. (they are now in darkness)

So ¿Why you tell me about that guy's?"....

Be awake in your soul brother!...

My response:

In 2 Corinthians 3:12-15 Paul is not talking about the Jews, he is talking about Israel.  See my article: http://www.bnai-el-chai.com/romans.htm which covers this topic.  To understand the difference between the Jews and Israel you also need to read: http://www.bnai-el-chai.com/tentribes.htm

Shalom Shomeir

Thank you for this teaching .

Very Insightful!

My response:

Thank you for your encouragement.  Sometimes I don't know if anyone is really reading these things.

HELLO-

I AM SO GLAD GLAD GLAD TO RECEIVE THIS!  THESE ARE THE THINGS EXACTLY THAT I HAVE BEEN LED TO.
